EA Announces EA Recordings
by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 04, 2005 7:07am PSTElectronic Arts & Nettwerk Music Group announced that they are teaming up for EA Recordings, a digital music distribution label which will bring EA game soundtracks to services like Apple iTunes, MSN, Yahoo Music, AOL Music, Rhapsody and others. By the end of the year, music from games like Command & Conquer, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, Medal of Honor Allied Assault and many other titles should be available.
"Audiences today are media masters -- they listen, play, download, watch and basically devour their entertainment in revolutionary new ways. They demand that the technology keep pace. This deal is a triumphant new commitment to making classic EA music and themes available to millions worldwide," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Music Marketing at EA. Chemical Brothers 2009: Please Make the Hurting Stop
Think Atari or whoever holds the rights to the Unreal series will do the same thing? Some great tracks on game CD's so it's nice it's getting presented in this way.
