I was hyped when I first started but the game was pretty shit. I got all the way to master bounty hunter back when you had to walk everywhere and 5 out of every 6 bounty missions were bugged....that game was not ready for prime time back then!
Amazing, I was right! It really is sad. SWG had so much potential and was really a diverse MMORPG but it suffered from being released way too soon before enough content and bug/balance fixes could be completed, and in the end that killed the game. It's sad to see a game that offered so much get more and more dumbed down as the devs just give up.
Basically the game is going to be turned into a twitch-based 3rd person shooter. There will be 9 classes instead of 36, and you can start as a Jedi. Although old Jedi will be a bit more uber.
I, for one, might just resubscribe for this.
