Over at FileShack you can now find the Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion E3 2005 presentation video, which showed up online before but is now officially endorsed by Bethesda. The video (also available in parts) shows off the game and features narration by producer Todd Howard. Oblivion is due out before the end of the year on PC and Xbox 360.

  • I loved Daggerfall, back in 1996, great creepy atmosphere and all, but Morrowind was bleh.

I tried several times to get into it but always ended up quiting soon after meeting up with my contact and then joining a guild. It just felt like you were playing an MMORPG by yourself, something about playing Morrowind actually made me feel lonely and isolated, its hard to explain. Gaming has advanced so much that being alone in this big world iss not satisfying, no running along the road and meeting someone like in an MMO.

Also the animations and everything looks so clunky in this video, things seem to jump back and forth several feet instantantiously whenever they interact with the world. The facial expressions are better than I expected but not as good as HL2 even and look very artifical.

I wanna see how much this makes my A64 2.65 and 6800 GT cry though :P
