Battlefield developer DICE today announced it has signed a new contract for a PC shooter, based on a new IP and scheduled for a fall 2006 release. There are absolutely zero other details, except that the game will be developed at the company's Stockholm offices.

You guys have fun with this, I will never purchase another DICE product again after the fiasco that BF2 has been, still all these months after release and it still feels like a buggy amaturish garage weekend hackjob.

Never felt more robbed of $50. I don't care how many people gush about it in previews. I won't ever buying anything with DICE in the name.

So... are any of the Desert Combat people still around @ DICE?

I get the impression that DICE bought the mod and proceeded to screw over the modders who made it.

New IP? It says based on a DI brand, sounds to me like something they have in their past.

I don't think it's going to be ww2 or any current event so perhaps a new Benefactor? I hope it's not ww2 or current events anyway.
