I've been speaking with a friend at work who's in the beta (and doesn't much care about the NDA)...three of archetypes are incredibly over-powering, especially when you consider them in regards to their CoH equivalents.
Masterminds are basically the equivalent of Controllers....they have a controller'ish primary that offers pets (usually multiple pets, and basically from the start of the game instead of level 32), and a damage dealing secondary analogous to the Defender secondary.
Corruptors are a combination of the Blaster and Defender archetypes. They have the Blaster's primary attack powers pool as their primary pool, and the Defender's primary buff/debuff pool as their secondary pool. Pools available include the Blaster Fire and Energy pools, as well as the Defender Force Fields, Kinetics, and Radiation pools. Think about that for a minute...when your jaw has finished dropping you can feel free to set your CoH billing cycle to manual monthly renewals. The Corruptor archetype on it's own will in all imaginable cases ALWAYS absolutely DESTROY Controllers, Defenders, and Blasters from CoH in PvP.
Finally, the Brute class is the CoV equivalent of CoH Tankers. Their pools are structured like Scrappers....primary is attack powers, secondary is defensive powers, all of the pools are drawn from both the available Scrapper and Tanker primaries and secondaries. Their defenses are basically scrapper levels, but their attacks are better than scrappers due to their inherent "rage" meter. Everytime you attack, or are attacked, you build up rage. Unlike WoW though, attacks don't cost rage, you just get a damage bonus when your rage meter is at various levels. When your rage bar is full, you get a 300% bonus to damage. All you have to do to keep yourself at the damage cap is take two or three really fast attacks from your Primary pool and everything you do will be max damage. They have the guaranteed best single target damage in the game (either CoH or CoV). Probably even better than Energy Blasters/Corrupters. Tanker's Energy Melee is available as a Brute Primary. Imagine fully enhanced Energy Transfer with a full rage meter. Energy Transfer has a brawl index of 12.67. Throw in 300% damage cap from Rage...Brutes will be one shotting Blasters, Defenders, Controllers, and hell, maybe even Scrappers.
