All Your Base really is still hilarious. Oh man my tummy hurts from the chuckles! I dont know why we need any other internet fads. Perhaps All Your Base at my balls or something.. that would rock.

Okay here's what we do.
We send in somebody at night. Navy SEALS, Delta Force, whatever. Some real fucking badasses. And Walker, Texas Ranger for good measure. He'll take point.
Seriously though we send in a fucking team to find the cocksucking motherfuckers who would do that to a fucking dog and we put hooks through their fucking faces and we drag them across the Atlantic back to the US where Walker, Texas Ranger kicks the fucking shit out of them.
Pisses me off.

Being handed screenshots of DNF after Serenity was pretty good too :)
It looks awesome... it looks hardcore. I don't know how much detail I should go into... one scene was a bunch of police-like SWAT dudes looking hardcore and pissed off. Slick looking helmets and carrying the "we are ready to kill you" dimeanor. One of Dukes guns in another shot looked very awesome. Very true to DN3D.(How am I supposed to describe what a gun looks like?) Lighting is awesome. I wanted to ask if the images has been photoshopped, becuase, well, they looked really fucking superior (and true to Duke Nukem).

I'm looking for some kind of calender like what you might find in Outlook. I think one would help me with appointments and when assignments are due.
I use Thunderbird and Firefox, though, and there doesn't seem to be a calendar function there. I don't really want to have to load a standalone program like Sunbird whenever I want to view the calender, because I'll just forget to do it, then it was useless to begin with.
So I want something that will integrate with my web browser or email... extension style. OR some decent website that I can just add to my collection of homepages so it shows up all the time.

I drink coffee about 90% of the mornings in order to wake up. But I hate coffee.... so its more like an Ice Sharkichino* or something.
The other 10% of the time I drink Mt. Dew @ 150 calories per serving... kinda don't need that.
So, what can I drink in the morning to wake me up, but won't leave a nasty aftertaste in my mouth for the next 15 hours, and also wont make me fatter?
*40% sugar / 40% Half & Half / 10% coffee + 2-3 ice cubes

It was the first time I've ever done it, but I used clippers and then I shaved it using a Schick Quattro (sp?)
It was pretty scary pulling the blade across my scalp. I kept thinking I was going to catch some flesh and really make myself bleed. I'm not sure I got as close as I could, but I got pretty damn close.
Pretty satisfied with the results. Was just looking to do something different.
It's a little pink/red, but i'm thinking that just because I've never done it before.

If there was any doubt about who the AL MVP should be, last night's game should have sealed the deal for David Ortiz. Just amazing. Not only does he hit a HUGE home run in the 8th to tie the game, but in the 9th, he hits the game winning single to score the winning run. He's so clutch it's scary. What an amazing game that was last night. and Matt Clement really sucked last night. :(

I'm transfering to a new college next year that's only a 40 minute walk (15-20 minute bike ride) away from the house, so I'm thinking of getting a bike. So far, this one seems most appealing to me: http://fisherbikes.com/bikes/bike_detail.asp?bike=Bitter

I seek the wise advice of the shack on the following: I have to take a crapload of .doc files and siphon the information into a mega SQL insert statement.
My idea initially was to save them all as text and run a php/perl script on them - but I quickly realized there was some formatting in the documents that needed to be preserved (bold and italics, mainly). So, naturally, I took a look at a sample HTML page as saved by Word.
What a nightmare with superfluous tags out the ass. I'm not putting that shit needlessly into a database. So I'm looking to clean up the output (drastically).
Parsing the text isn't a problem once I have it in any particular consistent format, but getting it to that format without having to deal with those excessive tags is my goal.
If it comes to it, I'll just have deal with the Word output and regex the extra crap out of there. But if I can avoid that, I will. Any suggestions?

Yeah, this is the same line from that of "gay, down-on-his-luck, ex-bodybuilder" Superman ( http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?id=10137685 ). But this Batman is pretty awesome. Really. Even though I'm still not too hot on the realistic face sculpt... and the scale issue with Superman is quite ghastly.

I want to make my diploma in network administration/network managing, and one of the requirements for the courses is a computer with enough power to handle a network simulator... which simulates a network of a bunch of computers on one single computer, but it doesn't say anywhere just how powerful it has to be...
I tried calling the school, but they couldn't tell me either... and they won't give me a teachers phone number/email either unless I've already signed up for the course. :-/

ITAKGI: You know, just looking at it I mean. I haven't actually played it. By the way, I met the DMC3 director at E3 last year. While I was out drinking at some bar, this Japanese guy comes wading through the crowd up to me, and he says, "You're Itagaki-san, aren't you?" Pretty outgoing for a Japanese guy, wouldn't you say? Anyway, so I say, "Yes, I am. Who the hell are you?" Yeah, there were two of them there then. I remember. I have a great memory [laughs].
So, he says, "I am the director of Devil May Cry 3; pleased to meet you!" and I said, "Pleased about what, dumbass!" I was drunk at the time, after all. He was young, so I slapped him on the back and said, "You just work hard so that one day people will say 'Team NINJA in the East [Tokyo], Capcom in the West [Osaka]'." The product of his labor after that little pep talk was DMC3. It got decent reviews here in Japan, and I think he did pretty well for a young guy. If he's lucky, he might make something even better next time.
