  • I really like it. I never played DOD for HL1 so this is pretty new to me. Recoil is a bit ridiculous at times, but aside from that.. everything feels tight and right. Tonight I hit one sniper over the head and watching his body fall out of the window was so satisfying.

    What bothers me though is servers that have more than 12 players, it just becomes too much of a cluster f*ck for the size of the maps they released. Certain areas get completely choked off with grenade spam, making it nearly impossible for either team to make any headway.

    What I'm hoping for (whether Valve or fans are behind it) is a good selection of some larger maps with less buildings and more foliage, a la BF1942 or BF2.. maybe with some driveable vehicles/tanks and an option to set up a mortar team. That would put DOD:S over the top for me.
