How is this different from DoD for HL1 besides being on the Source engine?

i bought the normal version hl2 in the store.... recently i found my hl1 cd and entered in the serial number into steam. now it seams that steam thinks i have the gold or silver package of hl2. i got access to all the games you would have with gold and silver and its letting me preload DOD source without paying for it. might be worth a try for anyone not wanting to spend the 20$ to check this out

When HL2 was coming out I decided I was gonna buy it on DVD. I like Steam enough but I wasn't "sure" about it.

When they announced the whole "packages" idea I figured DOD:S would be for sale at some point.

When a year goes by and we hear nothing I kept really hoping that they would make DOD:S available separate.

Then they did.

But somehow now I don't care. I mean I guess I would if I were getting it anyway (i.e., Steam Gold or Silver or whatever) but now honestly I don't see myself paying $20 for it.

But I'm definitely getting SiN: Episodes.

Anyone else feel the same way about DOD:S?
