Valve announced today that Rag Doll Kung Fu will be available over the company's Steam digital distribution service starting October 12 for a price of $12.95. The game was primarily designed and developed by Lionhead artist Mark Healey, though the game itself is not connected with Lionhead. Rag Doll Kung Fu is a sidescrolling action game that puts the player in control of a character who is animated entirely by way of the user's mouse gestures. The game has no predefined animations; moves are the result of the player directly manipulating the character's limbs. The game supports up to eight players either over the internet or by plugging in extra mice to the same computer.

"Rag Doll was originally just an idea for me and some friends to have some fun making an old style Kung Fu movie," said Healey. "It's amazing to think that a tongue in cheek film project has now evolved into a full game being distributed via Steam. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as my friends and I enjoyed making it.
Healey has expressed interest in making a DS port of the game due to the console's mouse-like stylus control, but there has been no news on that front. For more information on Rag Doll Kung Fu, check out Healey's website.
