Quake 4 Media
by Maarten Goldstein, Sep 16, 2005 4:32pm PDTAll sorts of Quake 4 media today. We have three multiplayer shots, four singleplayer shots and four Xbox 360 screenshots. On FileShack you can find two new gameplay movies. One has vehicular footage while the other shows off the multiplayer action.

I really hope I'm completely wrong about this but not one of those screenshots or videos looked even remotely exciting to me. This appears to be a perfect example of milking a cash cow for one last squirt. I totally understand the decision to make Quake4 the best of each of the previous Quake's..the single-player of Q2 and the multiplayer of Q3....but I expected them to use a high degree of creative freedom and deliver an exciting well polished installment in the Quake series. This so far looks like it will notl measure up to the rest of the series. I always had my doubts about Raven doing Quake4...I mean c'mon...if Lucas let someone else do a Star Wars you'd expect pigs to fly.
Coming from a hardcore fan of all the Quake's todays shots/videos have left me very dissappointed.

That sucks. I want something fresh when it comes to multiplayer (have already given up on singleplayer FPS games).

:( Oh well I'll still buy the game and Quake Wars and play it like an obedient servant.
