Frequently contributor SixDemonBag takes an incredibly detailed look at Tri-Ace's Valkyrie Profile (PS1), and he finds it exceptional. Maybe he's killing time until Tri-Ace's Radiata Stories ships this week.
Incredibly prolific reviewer Masem has a fair and balanced look at n-Space's Geist (GCN), noting that there is goodness to be had, but maybe not by everybody.

More Advance Wars: Dual Strike (DS) for me. Saturday was my only gaming day this week, so other than some Gitaroo-Man (PS2) (thanks, lurker!) that's all I got in.

Random thought of the moment:

What are people's opinions on expanding ShackReviews to include reviews of modifications for the big games? Maybe they could be included as minor platforms.

It just occured to me that there was a mod or two that I could happily write a review on. Guess you'd have to allow some capacity for "this is the version of the mod that I'm reviewing" or other complexities. It's perhaps a bit cutesy, but it seemed it would fit in well with the site's history/background of supporting Quake/etc communities.

Guess I've missed the boat (FP will be up soon, etc), but if anyone has any thoughts ...

i installed a friend's copy of FF7 ultima for the PC. Damn that looks FUGLY. I think I can see why people want a PS3 version of it. I mean they must be using only 8bit color. The horror.
