"Doing the math, if each episode averages out to be four hours, it would take five of them to equal a twenty hour game. At $15 a pop...snip...that would come out to $75 -- 50% more than the usual $50 game."
I think, that if the various benefits mentioned in episodic content, specifically the creative control and alterations that can be made mid-process, its more than worth the extra price. You buy a $50 game, and you're lucky if the whole 20 hours is remotely entertaining, and there usually isn't any "new" gameplay elements introduced midway. But really, I guess it depends on whether the developer makes a significant effort for each episode to be well-crafted.
Well, I'm kind of excited about the potential here. Other thoughts on this?

"If you didn't play the original in 1998 don't rush out to comb through the bargain bins just yet. Chances are, you're going to see the original SiN, all dressed-up in the source engine coming your way over steam. According to Mustaine the project has already come pretty far. The technical side has been easier than you might expect thanks to similarities between the Half-Life engine, Source engine and the old SiN engine. Moreover, SiN had a somewhat episodic structure itself. Its six distinct sections fit perfectly into the new distribution model."
FUCK YEAH!
