Battlefield 2 Special Forces Video

Footage from the Battlefield 2 expansion pack Special Forces has found its way online, showing off the night vision mode as well as several other new features. The add-on is due out later this year.

In other Battlefield 2 news there will be some stats server downtime tonight.

I don't care what any of you say. I love BF2 and I'll love this as well. The game is fucking fun and while it has bugs, I'm not gonna miss out on one of the most entertaining on-line games ever just to prove some kind of point.

PerpetualYawn++ I have stopped playing the BF2 I bought, insane loading times, and runs choppy in the start at some levels. Takes forever to quit ( that's no real problem ), full of bugs, please fix the game and de-bloat it.
I can't imagine why it's so heavy.

Ohh look boxes! And cargo containers! Damn I was just telling someone the other day "I wish FPS type games had more levels in warehouses full of crates and boxes... you can't get enough crates and boxes."

BF2 is a great game but a warehouse setting? Expecially for their "exclusive" come on...

I waited anxiously for BF2 and it's the only game I'm playing right now, but seriously, I won't even download videos from this expansion.

It's a great game, but it's being handled in such a way that makes me sad and hope ET:QW or Q4 or whatever to be out soon.

It's like trying to inject a heathy dose of Rainbow Six into the Battlefield franchise. I don't think that Battlefield lends itself to this type of gameplay very well. Who knows? Maybe it'll be awesome, but that video footage didn't do anything for me at all. :|

Okay I watched the video. It looks like they used the same buildings from BF2. At leas the shots I saw. They basically have it all during nite, have some lameass green "nitevision" goggles, have a crossbow that shoots a grapple type line, and looks like similiar weapons as the spec ops have in BF2.

If I had to base my purchasing decision on this video alone, I would NOT be getting this game. The premise doesn't sound fun and I would rather play the original BF2. This game looks like it was made to be a Counterstrike wannabe game or something...i have no clue what they were thinking. If this game attracts the leets from BF2 to it I will be very happy. I am also thankful that Counterstrike exists as a catch all for more "leets".
