SiN Episodes Site Update

The SiN Episodes website has been updated, offering among other things a developer blog, a fan site kit, and game concept art. There is also a multiplayer survey. The first SiN Episodes release will not contain multiplayer, but Ritual does want to add multiplayer modes to future episodes.

With the exception of MMORPG fans, how many people will really get excited to buy a game they know has no available ending? I could see myself buying all three packaged together, but it just doesn't seem fun to spend time beating episode 1, knowing there will be no definite ending for another year, after episodes 2 and 3 are released.

I probably won't hand out my money for this one due to the fact that I have to wait months and months to play a new episode. I'll probably just end up sending a $10 check straight to the company out of sympathy. I'd use that to buy a clue or something.

are many gamers on shack gonna buy each episode or wait til the whole thing is done and get it from there?

Im prob gonna wait since i hate waiting to finish the story if the next part isnt done. I like this idea tho of installments(but its not for me)

I'm buying the content episodically myself. Personally, I think this is an EXCELLENT idea as it really does put the end user in charge of the development process. It really does put a lot of pressure on the developer to deliver quality each and every time otherwise they risk such a backlash that would seriously impact the financial bottomline. This is such a "low-risk" prospect for the consumer that gamers everywhere should be pleased with it!

Some of that Concept artwork is just sick...very cool.

I think steam is perfect for Ritual and they deserve all the cash they can get...there is no doubt in my mind that the new SIN will rock...period.
