My biggest problem with the first game was the fact that the game balance was so easily 'broken'.

There are a few avenues of expertise that simply make the game really easy. And Magic is one of them. Magic generally makes the other skills obsolete. I'm a way better sneaker (invisibility, 100% chameleon), lockpick (open 100pts), traveller (mark, recall), fighter (any decent combat spell), healer (heal... duh) than any other class can become.

Enchanting was rediculously powerful, as was alchemy.

As soon as I started being able to overcome any obstacle presented to me with magic, I kind of lost interest. Magic is supposed to be powerful, but only with lots of practice, much like the other skills in the game.

Sounds like there will be some neat features. I like how they're very honest with the fans, and don't overhype and make anything seem revolutionary. They're even saying "yeah there's horses, they're neat, but not a huge aspect" they don't act like the AI will suck your dick and be dead realistic, they talk about it like they are.

I have a lot of respect for the way Bethesda is handling this.

Thanks I'm thinking of picking it up on the 360 because it will look better on there I expect than on my PC, but I've never played a game of this type on a console with a controller hoping that won't be a problem.

I can always pick up a PC version later for mods/expansions.

Its hard to keep the hype down on this one. Say what you will about morrowind, but i think bethesda knows what went wrong and are working on fixing it. Also custom soundtrack on xbox360 is HAWT, can twait to explore to some cool dark ambient music!
