Still though, both cores share the L2 cache? That's kinda lame. I can only hope they seriously speed up the FSB or get rid of it all together and sidestep that bottleneck.-
um, think carefully about that.
shared L2 cache means lower overheads moving a process from one core to another in the scheduler, means lower overheads doing cache coherency etc etc.
The first dualcore chip I can think of that shared L2 was POWER4, you calling THAT 'kinda lame' ?
