This, Alan Wake and Prey are the SP games I'm really looking forward to. I couldn't really give a damn about Q4, and I don't have good enough net access to care about any MP stuff.
With regard to the shareware episode thing, I think that the games industry has changed significantly since the release of Doom. The cost of making a single level of Sin Episodes is probably more than that of making the whole game of Doom. I don't think it's realistic to expect Ritual to spend a year or more working on content and then release it for free as a teaser for the next episode. I expect we shall see a short demo of some kind, but it's a bit much to expect independant developers to devote so much time and money to a demo.
The fact Ritual are working with Valve to release over Steam doesn't bother me either... As long as some piece of **** doesn't hack my account and get me banned after I've paid for it. Whilst this hasn't happened to me before, I couldn't reg HL1 on Steam because it seemed that someone with a keygen had regged it already.

Uh... what about that "real life" game (forget the name) where they would call you? Wasn't that done in episodes? Also, Are we forgetting DooM? The first episode was free, and then you bought the rest... same with Wolf3D right? Though it's not quite the same, I still don't think that statement is true.
