Call of Duty 2 Gameplay Video

A new Call of Duty 2 movie has been released, showing the beach landing from the game's Pointe Du Hoc level. The video, in Quicktime format, runs for a bit over six minutes, though unfortunately compression has made it a bit muddy. Infinity Ward's WW2 action game sequel will be released later this year.

I think it looks awesome! Bring it on :D

And considering that everything think it's scripted, that should be taken as a compliment, considering there are multiple ways to complete objectives and not linear.

wow, pretty intense. i kinda wished i hadn't seen it, since it was so much of that level and i don't want to ruin it for myself.

not so sure about scripted events. that's what really turned me off of the medal of honor series. this one's looking really scripted.

I have a feeling that the reviewers are going to be really harsh on CoD 2 for essentially being the the same game as the original only with nicer graphics.

Glad I'm not alone in thinking this looks pretty lame. Is it just me or are the character voices the same as the original as well? They appear to have worked really hard on changing the single player game...oh wait.

Action looks good but the animations do look choppy and unrealistic. Hope those are fixed. Other than that I thought this was the Doom 3 engine...it doesn't seem to look much better than the original.

The things that annoy me in CoD 2 is those animations, they look sort of clumsy in most situations. I'd hoped they had done something to them, made them 'flow' better, more detailed etc.. It also looks like there's no ragdoll deaths/physics collisions or physics interaction in general. To sum it up it looks like CoD 2 is just more of the same, recycled.

But, I <3 the absence of loading pauses =)
