Still looks better than anything rockstar or bungie has made, graphics wise, and people LOVE rockstar and bungie. So maybe it will be fun, just behind its time.

I'm literally growing old waiting for this one.

when I first heard of it, I was a single guy who went to lan parties regularly.

Now I'm a married guy who can't say the words lan and party in the same sentence. my wife is cool about gaming, but I just can't drop $500 on a new video card when I feel like it. by the time S.T.A.L.K.E.R. comes out I'll likely be a dad. and of course an adult.

I played this at london last year as i've said before, hold the wait out, its gonna be really good.. I love the gritty feel to it, and the way that the ambient sounds make it more of a tense game.. Can't wait

Graphics were great, gameplay was clunky at best. Saw it at E3 a couple years ago and it had a LOOOONG way to go. For crying out loud, the weapons video they released last year to show off the weapons used counterstrike sounds.

You had to be a sucker to believe the AI they were planning to implement into the game. Either they're gonna have to bullshit us on the AI or take til 2009 making it real.

I just hope they keep up with the media blackout until they have something that actually works.

I don't want to hear anything more about Stalker until it's released. After following this game's development for 2 1/2 years, I'm tired of hearing about it.

I think by the time it's released, something far more impressive would have already come along. Wait and see I guess.

Yeah this game is overhyped and dead already, it looked killer 2 years ago now its just a waste of time.. and 2006 people are gonna have killer computers and this will not impress anyone so they are only shooting themselves by not releasing this year.

Shame since this game had potential of beeing something cool.

I'll bet that with all these the delays the game still goes out the door unfinished. The open endedness combined with the physics and the AI routines will ensure shit-tons of bugs.

Too bad, this game looked great...last year... and the year before... but now.. they are looking at big engine upgrades if it is going to keep pace with the 2006 stuff. Maybe if we print out all the screenshots and make 'em into a book, then flick the pages really fast... it will "almost" seem like we're playing it.

yeah i recall the last time a good looking game started coming to bed wearing that comfortable yet rather unsexy "no end date in sight" night gown. i would call it a moomoo but that would be a night's fight.
