Purcell Wants Back Into Games
by Chris Remo, Aug 02, 2005 4:41pm PDTSeveral days ago Gamasutra published a talk with Sam and Max creator Steve Purcell, best known to gamers for his supervision of 1993's classic Sam and Max Hit the Road from LucasArts. The writer/artist discusses his time at LucasArts, Industrial Light and Magic, and Pixar, and lets loose one particularly noteworthy comment:
"Would I get back into games? Sure. The [Sam & Max] license is back in in my hands now so we'll see what happens in the near future."Purcell mentions that he was surprised by the enormous fan response to the cancellation of Sam and Max: Freelance Police, so this news could bode well for fans of the dog/rabbit duo.
