US PSP 2.00 on August 12
by Chris Remo, Aug 02, 2005 1:43pm PDTSony has announced that the version 2.00 firmware update for PSP will be released in North America on August 12. It will be available from Sony's PSP website and can be transferred either wirelessly or by way of a Memory Stick. Of note to those who have already installed the Japanese update:
Sony released the update in Japan on July 27. Although the update works on North American PSPs, Sony warns owners that downloading the update will void the PSP's warranty, and American PSP users should wait until August 12 to download the US release, which has been thoroughly tested on US PSPs. Sony has not said whether or not the US version will include additional features.Gadzooks!

Then install PSPWare (iPSP sucks) and sync your bookmarks so you don't have to manually type that crap in.

So far everything is working great. Still trying to get used to the browser, but the wallpaper feature is great. Got a lovely picture of Angelina Jolie to look at while I listen to music. :)
