I'll be buying this just because it's on steam and they're self-funding it. Maybe that's a retarded rationale, but hopefully this'll be a hit and prove that the model can work.

I think there's a very good side to the episodic format. Many games have way too much filler in the middle of the game. you know those levels that you truly don't know why the fuck they're in the game. I think this format will kill that. Imagine paying $20 for part 3 of the game and having it be mostly all filler. It'd kill their business.

Hopefully every level will get as much attention paid to it as the first. Then when you play the episodes back to back it'll be ultimately satisfying.
