People were confused about whether or not the PS3 would have the actual "chip" or just the "SDK". It will indeed have the PhysX hardware. The confusion came from the fact that they will be selling the property instead of actual hardware, as they don't make hardware.
This is interesting because it's one of the only real tangible differences we can see between the game performance of the PS3 and Xbox360. Both are pretty fast, but only one has this non-traditional physics processing system.
Which means all the PS3 games will probably have tons of crazy and fun novelty physics items, and games like katamari gaymacy will be taken to a freakish new level.

As you all know Xbox360 main selling-point is HD-resolution. I dont think the picture will be much better than a Xbox on my 52" tv. I have also heard that you recive a VGA-cable for the Xbox360 and in that case I could connect it to my 22" Dell monitor (CRT). That way I get HD resolution and a very sharp picture without getting a expensive HDTV.
What do you think?

When I have greasemonkey enabled after I login to gmail, all I get is a blank page, if I disable greasemonkey I can login just fine - the only scripts for it I had were a few of the shack ones and the PDF warning one
It's a WD 160 gig SATA drive on an MSI K8t Neo Mobo. Via chipset.
Everyone once in a while my drive will freeze up for 15 seconds or so. And sometimes it just reboots, and when it does bios doesn't see the drive. After a 2nd reboot it sees it and boots fine into windows.
So I checked for an error in system events and lo and behold it says
viamraid 1 did not respond after timeout period.
I've googled this and others have had the problem but haven't really seen a fix. Somebody even said that via chipsets have incompatibiltiy issues with creative products (i have an audigy 2 zs platinum pro). I have the latest via drivers installed. Anyone know about this?

ok, I have 2 computers that I want to connect via wireless lan.
Number 1 is a new desktop pc with an internet connection and an usb wireless lan card.
Number 2 is an old windows me (ugh, I know) notebook with a d-link pcmcia wlan card.
The notebook should be able to connect to the desktop pc and share his internet connection (either with using xp's internet connection sharing feature or with using wingate).
As far as the hardware installation goes, everything is fine, no problems there (at least it seems so).
What really sucks, is that win me doesn't have the "show wireless networks in my area" feature that xp has. Is there a way to search for wlans under winme?
But when I name the network and set up a key for the encryption in the dlink tool on the notebook, the win xp machine is able to see it.
But when I click on connect, it hangs at establishing connection.
I am not able to ping the machines or anything.
I think I can rule out that it has something to do with the quality of the connection because the 2 computers are next to each other atm.
Any tips? anything I could be doing wrong?

I bought this book while travelling in Cologne at a huge bookstore that had English language "hits". I have never heard of Murakami before, but he had several books there dealing with fiction, and some seemingly about non-fiction events that had happened, such as the Tokyo subway gas attack a bunch of years ago.
The book I read wasn't bad, it was pretty weird... and it had quite a bit of math and a little bit of circuitry wrapped in there (note: I was a language/history major that never went beyond algebra2 and finitemath), but not too much for the casual layman, or whatever. I was reminded throughout of that Keanu Reeves movie Johnny Mnemonic... so let's google and see if there are any connections! ::: Oooh, nope, turns out JM was all William Gibson's stuff... anyways, maybe Gibson read this book (published 1985, english translation from the Japanese in 1991) and took a few from it. Or I could be totally wrong... It was enjoyable, the ending sure was weird, though
