New Battlefield 2 Patch Being Tested

According to a new community update on the official Battlefield 2 website, an updated 1.01 patch for the game is currently being tested. Though no specific release date is commited to, "it's not far off".

BTW, somewhat unrelated, have any of you notice that the returned ping times in the internal browser are much higher since the update? I haven't rolled back to test, so I cant be sure. Just wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

If I were DICE/EA:

I'd release this hotfix asap (as soon as its ready), then I'd annouce another patch to come at a later date, and in the annoucement address the bugs and issues that this patch will deal with *specifically*.
