So very hungry all day today.. Guess I'm catching up for eating barely nothing the past few days. I'm still a not so incredible 185lbs no matter what my diet or exercise is though. I'm sure I'll miss those days in a few years. In the mean time it's time for another burger!

  • I was having a really strange set of errors about an hour ago.

First of all, the computer reset by itself while I was playing a video... then wouldn't boot properly... then it wouldn't boot at all and finally I wasn't even able to shut it down without cutting the power.

My initial thought was an overheated videocard... so I checked the fan, which worked and despite that installed a new one. It still wouldn't boot.

I replaced the memory. It still wouldn't boot. I disconnected all the drives... and it still wouldn't even get to bios 99% of the time.

I found it strange that sometimes it would get passed the video card recognition screen... sometimes it would find the cpu... sometimes it verified the ram and sometimes it even managed to go to bios... once it even started up windows... but at that point it crashed... if it didn't before.

All fans are working perfectly so it's not a heat issue... it's not the memory, not the drives and not the videocard. What's left is the PSU, the mainboard and the CPU.

With the bootup always behaving differently I just pressed reset again and again for a solid 5 minutes after putting everything back together... now I'm back in windows and the system has run stable for about half an hour.

I find this really strange. What else can I do to find out what's going on here?

  • So in Kuala Lumpur today we go out to dinner and have a chinese style meal (this after Chinese roast duck for lunch today).

After dinner local reps ask "Have you ever tried Durian?". I reply yes, (I have tried it, but not served just fresh out of the shell). As it works out, we go and try Durian fruit.

What is Durian fruit you may ask?

To start with it looks like this: http://www.chat11.com/Picture_Gallery/plants/fruits/durian/durian08.jpg

The smell and texture and taste? http://www.chat11.com/Durian_Fruit
"Tastes like Heaven, smells like hell. and 'bowel breath for hours' are particular phrases that ring true.

My opinion. We tried both the bitter and sweet type of durian (there are over 50 different types of durian). Bitter was slightly better tasting. The texture of this stuff is like just warming up butter (you squeeze its very soft). The smell (well lets just say its not too pleasant).

That being said, when all was said and done, I'd eaten an entire fruit (imagine a giant orange with slices with the meat in it).

I give it two thumbs up. (Was very yummy). Anyone else ever try it?
