I admit that it's been a while since i've played the first game, but B&W2 doesn't look that much better then the first game. I haven't read much about B&W2 and my only exposure to the game is this short video that certainly doesn't do much to catch my attention.

I did an interview with Marc Saltzman that aired on CNN about Black and White. I pimped it, and got some free games, it worked out pretty well.
