Prince of Persia 3 Screenshots

Wow, they're really cranking out the sequels on this one.

(1) Ubi please bring back the Save Game system from PoP: Sands Of Time (which was perfect). WW was horribly flawed. Unless you are one of those people who always puts in the right time and date everytime you turn on your XBOX (I am not) it is impossible to figure out what level I left off at. Since you are constantly going back and forth in time from the same spot, the screenshot doesn't help much.

When I go to pick up where I left off, I have to basically guess (and I am usually wrong). After about 4 or 5 tries I find my last saved game. And it is one of those games that to load a new save game you have to go into the menu, choose 'Quit', then it loads for a bit, then you 'Load' a new saved game, wait for it to load, find out it is the wrong one, rinse repeat...


(2) Other than the odd choice for the soundtrack, there really wasn't much so wrong with PoP: WW. I don't think it deserved a lot of the meh comments it got. Better fighting. I don't find there is as MUCH fighting. I don't spent as much time fighting enemies in this one. Actual Boss Battles. The same exact kind of puzzles. It's a bit more like an exploratory game now that you can literally walk right back to where you started.


(3) I did find WW buggier than SoT (I didn't find any real bugs in SoT and I've finished it twice since last Fall). I hope they have a little more time to polish off the bugs this time. Nothing huge, but SoT felt so polished it was kind of sad to see these bugs in WW.


(4) For whatever reason I don't think most people who 'reviewed' WW actually played most of it.

Should have stayed in the old franchise (The original 2D PoP and PoP2) and gone down as one of those games whose legacy would keep it alive in lore, mystique and tales of unfortgettable gameplay years to come...

Is this in-game bloom or retouched screenshots? It looks really bad.

1st one was good, second one bad ( drab and crappy mapping/level design), third one better learn a lot from gods of war or this series will be the new tomb raider.

More of the same shit, they probably have the nu-metal back in too. Let's just forget they ever made sequels.

I loved the first one, but couldn't get past the first 5 minutes of the second. I'd like to try again, but man, when the nu-metal starts I just make a sad face and turn off the XBox :~(

Bring back the 2D.

Hello, Prince... I'd like you to meet this new guy Kratos.

I could never finish WW. There was one jump that was a blind leap of faith. I couldn't move the camera down enough to see where I had to land,which was on a narrow piece of wood beam. About 3 times out of 30 I made the jump successfully, but would soon die later on in the combat or puzzles before I could reach a save point. Probably one of the most frustrating gaming moments I've had in a while. I was really getting into the combat and puzzles. I loved SoT, thought it was one of the better games I've played and to have WW be such a let down, sucked.

I never played any of these games but I thought death was chasing him in the 2nd one. I take it he escaped how to die?

I couldn't ever stand the fighting sound effects in either game. No loud clashing of swords. Just *thunk* annoying.

Look cool...but I miss the art direction from sands of time. I like bright, crisp environments, not gritty+bloom

I love SoT but rented and hardly played WW. Sadly, this looks to be a similar case =\
