by Maarten Goldstein, Jun 21, 2005 6:38am PDTA sunburnt back really isn't all that great. Should've done a better job with the sunscreen :( But hey at least it isn't raining. I would actually be inside for most of the day, but Battlefield 2 won't be out here until Friday * shakes fist at whoever decided on that. Movie: Every hunter hopes that a good death finds him.

Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have signed to star in a second Batman movie, but love interest Katie Holmes has been dropped. Movie bosses are thrilled with the response to Batman Begins - it took $46.9 million in its first weekend at the US box office - and have snapped up the film's stars for a sequel. Bale as Batman was the first to put pen to paper, followed by Caine as butler Alfred and Freeman as Bruce Wayne's business associate Lucius Fox. But Holmes won't reprise her role as district attorney Rachel Dawes - reportedly because Warner Bros is angry her engagement to Tom Cruise has stolen media attention away from the movie. A source tells Pagesix.Com, "Everyone is in agreement that the movie's strength is with Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman." Adding of Holmes, "She won't be in the sequel... the next romantic interest will be a much stronger actress. Warner is happy that people are now focusing on who'll be playing the Joker rather than Katie and Tom."

1 or 2 days ago they rran a comic about an "I-tripod"
The comic is usually about a guy and his wife.
They are drawn a little on the fat side, and look kinda goofy.
It is always only 1 frame.

So I asked them to stop, and they said they would, but they didn't. So I had to bring things up a notch because our brand management people here would have a fit if they saw this going on, and they'd blame it on me since I'm the one that deals with all the gamers and tweakers and dudes with acne that recently got fired from Radio Shack for jacking off in the staff room or whatever... and I've given the brand folks here so much hell over the years, that I really didn't want to add another thing to the list.
So yesterday I sent them an email again and said "please remove all reference to us," and shortly thereafter this popped up in their IRC channel:
<ecQ-TheTree|Speakeasy> lol got a email from the speakeasy isp <ecQ-TheTree|Speakeasy> those idiots told us to remove their logo but we just took it off the header
<ecQ-TheTree|Speakeasy> we're keeping it as our cal logo <ecQ-TheTree|Speakeasy> and another one on the side of our site still
That kind of pissed me off, so I mailed the logs to one of the team members and said something along the lines of "dude knock this off be cool" etc...
and got this gem in my mail today....

we are taking off the logo's and we changed our name because we got some much problems because of it. That log from irc is not true, im guessing some one messed around with the log or just edited what I said or just made it all up.. but what ever, speakeasy is a word in the dictionary... its like tyring to copyright chair.... you can't...
my father majored in law, and I asked him about it... he agree'd...
please dont try and make leagues like CAL change our name, you do not have the name speakeasy copyrighted, simply because its a word you did not make up. You logo is off the site, but Team Speakeasy will be back. Funny how you dont want to cooporate with the #1 team in CoD CAL-O , we are undefeated and are attending the CPL this summer... gl with your ISP.
"majored in law" is what gave me the biggest lols... if anyone on the Shack majored in "advice" then please offer me yours for how to deal with the intense pending litigation we here at Speakeasy will face.

From the FAFSA form:
There are three ways your parents can sign your application (you and your parent do not have to provide your signatures using the same method).
* Electronically Sign (recommended) - Have your parent use his or her U.S. Department of Education PIN to electronically sign your FAFSA.
* Print Signature Page - You must have printer access from your current computer to print a signature page. Have your parent sign and mail it to us immediately after submitting your FAFSA. We cannot process your FAFSA until we receive your signed signature page. Printing your signature page does not mean you have submitted your application! Please continue.
* Process Now without Signatures - If you select this option, we would reject your application due to missing parental signature. We would still need to collect your parent’s signature to reprocess your application properly without rejects. Selecting this option would create a delay in processing correctly your application.

We have a 3mb up/down line at work, and the guys I work with and I are thinking of running a BF2 dedicated server. Is this enough bandwidth to handle it, and how many players could we handle well on it?
I could only run it from 8:30pm-8:30am eastern (because the bandwidth is heavily used during the day).
If anyone in the Dallas,Tx area is interested in seeing a Midnight showing on Land Of The Dead, with me, Normality.

I think that from now on, the punishment I will use for my instructors when they're in need of disciplinary action is to make them teach the teenage black belt class. It's like slow, painful torture.
I mean, shit, I hate teenagers as it is, but then you give them a black belt and a couple of competition victories or other sort of accolade and they get all... teenagery and become unteachable. Little kids are cool, and adults are cool, but this weird pupae stage they go through between them is something to be feared and loathed.
What's worse is that *I* was a teenage black belt many moons ago, and looking back, I was exactly like these punks that I just want to slap every 15 seconds. It's like that whole "you grow up to be your father" thing, except for martial arts. It makes me want to write a letter to all of my old instructors and apologize for being a douchebag all those years. Heck, I might actually do it.

Why is Imp Ghost Wolf so great? It decreases the casting time to what.. 1 second from 3? Is the main usefulness of the talent to be able to flee battle if you are getting owned? That's the only thing I can think of.
