    Someone should ask how he feels about his product already being DOA due to the price point.

      I'm sure their sales projections aren't that high for initial shipments and I'm sure it'd be that way whatever the price. So it's better that they charge a high price (I don't see it as alienating much of their potential customer base, since initially they will be the same guys who spend $500 on their video cards) and stay afloat.
