What we sound like: Lamb of God, Unearth, Hatebreed-like breakdowns.
Keep an eye out for us if you live near the Eastern side of Iowa. We have been asked to play with Drowning Pool in Davenport, Ia on their next tour. (Yea I know they suck but we don't)
We were asked to play it after our third show after decimating every band we have played with including some regional acts.
We should have songs up in a month or so once we get into the studio. I'll post again once they are up.

However, has anyone noticed that the "Mip-mapping" toggle doesn't really do a whole lot? It seems like Rockstar provided mip maps for a very small number of textures, like the occasional roadway here or there, but most of the textures still seem to shimmer a lot.
I wonder if it wasn't just an issue of them trying to conserve space on the DVD by not providing the extra mip levels. If so, it might be a minor thing for somebody to hack together a tool that you could download to create mip maps for all the textures in the game (or maybe just the non-transparent ones).

Damn thing can't shuffle playlists like I need it to. Like hell if I want to listen to System of a down and then a jpop song from Ayumi Hamasaki. How can one shuffle like a certain number of songs?
Plus this fucking Griffen iTrip FM transmitter station guide is amazingly added when I select to shuffle all of my songs. WTF??? :(

I've been having bad stomach pains for about 2 months now they extend around my torso into my lower back as well. I pretty much load up some angry music and have to roll around in pain for a couple hours until it passes. If it's particularly bad I end up sweating and shaking on the floor in enough pain to make me want to throw up. Usually end up with at least mild pain once a day although if I'm lucky I can go a day or two without any.
Had this problem for a month a couple years ago and it just went away, not so much this time. Been to the doctor a couple times now and he can't find anything wrong (not an ulcer, not food allergies, etc), so he and my parents think its caused by stress. Thing is, I don't feel conciously stressed right now beyond any normal amount (that is, normal for myself which is probably higher than most people) though I certainly have some large stressors. I was waiting on college acceptance letters (which I recently got, thank god) which was definitely stressful because another year sitting alone while my friends were at school would've been terrible. I had traffic court last week which is the kind of thing I get unnecessarily worried about. I'm at my first real job right now (besides summer camp counselor) which isn't overly stressful but I'm sure is contributing. Etc, etc.
So I guess I've managed to suppress general stressors enough that I no longer notice them (always was good at that) which is now causing a problem. So what I'm looking for is ways you guys deal with stressful things, minor or major. I've certainly felt overwhelming stress before and known exactly why and ended up worried, screaming, whatever about it. This time I'm a little hazy on exactly what's causing the problem, so I guess I need more general relaxation type techniques. I've been thinking of trying some sort of meditation but all the stuff I've seen online has been a little to religiously slanted for my taste. Any reccommendations? This shit sucks mang =\

When she told me that, for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about 'Garys mod' =)
It's a shame she doesn't play HL2.
I've got a friend that wants someone to do a short film in the typical Japanese Anime style. As far as specifics - I don't know, but they have apparentely have a decent budget and don't know where to start researching this type of thing.
Does anyone have any links to websites or personal contacts that could help us find someone/people that would be interested in taking on this project?
Remember; they will be paid $$$ for this!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Heroes 3 is my mother's favourite game of all time and she plays it daily. She has all the expansions and addons and whatnot. Her computer was still running windows 98 and I thought it was time to install winxp.
After the installation I installed her beloved heroes 3 again and that's where my problem arises. After installation, the game (and the addons) use a handy program called gameupdate which checks if your game needs to be patched and if yes (which is the case) downloads the update automatically from the 3DO servers. the problem now is that 3DO, and therefore the update servers don't exist anymore. Does anyone of you guys know where I could find these patches? Google and Fileshack failed me :(
tldr version: does anyone know where I could find the patches for
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 plus all addons?

I have been in Nepal one week now, but it seems like much longer. I am staying with some monks in Boudha, which is a 20 min car ride from Kathmandu. Everyone here is determined that I shall learn Tibetan, so I guess my Nepalese will have to be put on the backburner. I have a huge room, about the size of a small bachelor, with a bed, a desk and even a couch.
The cook, Anni, makes all the food. She is wonderful and friendly but can't speak any English or read Tibetan so we mostly communicate with smiles, or mime. Her two daughters are visiting right now and they can speak a little English. They spend most days watching Indian serials on TV. There are so many I have given up trying to distinguish them.
Every day I walk about a half hour to the monastery where I teach English. My class is quite diverse -- the oldest is 33 and the youngest is 10. They are a lot of fun. The one thing that all monks seem to have in common (other than the red and orange garb) is the fact that they laugh a lot and often.
The road is unpaved with broken bricks filling any holes. When it rains the street turns to mud and when its hot its so dusty that the shopkeepers throw buckets of water onto the street in front of their stores to stop the dust from rising. It is monsoon season here so one minute it will be unbearably hot and the next torrents of water will be racing down the street under a charcoal sky. The people here are really friendly but this is not a highly touristed area. Many people seem to think I'm lost, and the children openly stare, or shout "Hello".
The other day I was having lunch with Anni, and her family had come to visit -- well part of her family, she has 9 children. There were two grown women, one with a little boy, and a young girl -- maybe 14 or so. She was so beautiful, but she looked a little strange, like her eyes had trouble focusing. She didn't speak much but every now and then she would respond when Anni shouted at her (in a friendly way) and laughed.
One of Anni's daughters told me that she (the young girl) had just escaped from Tibet 3 days ago after being on the run for 10 (literally running or walking). I was shocked that such a young girl had made that journey all by herself (her mother is still in Tibet). Anni's daughter told me that when she had escaped from Tibet she was on the run for 3 months. I then realized that everyone in the room with the exception of myself and the little boy had risked their life to escape from Tibet. I guess I knew that it was going on, but it's different to sit there and deal with it face to face. Everyone I'm staying with and most of the people I teach have escaped from Tibet. The happy ending to this story is that the young girl is going to the Dalai Lama's school in India in a month, and she seems happy about that.
I am staying at the Nitartha Institute, which is transcribing Buddhist texts onto the computer so that they won't be lost. I am using their internet connection now and should probably get off now.
I hope that you're doing well and feel free to write back, especially if there is any exciting news.
PS -- The bus that exploded recently was in the South of Nepal, far from where I am staying. I have only seen soldiers once and they were guarding government buildings at the time and trying to flirt with passing women. No one where I am staying has been affected (or so they tell me) by the Maoist rebels.

I've been up all night putting a webpage together and I've come the conclusion that it'd be a good idea to use some PHP to help me manage the content.
So I've just started learning PHP and so far I've worked out that I can use
<?php require_once ("page.html"); ?>to import an external file into the webpage, which is some cool shit. But what I want to do is is have it that when I click on a button in the navigation, it changes the page.html to something else.
What I've found is that apparently by putting $ infront of page.html in the PHP code, if I have a url like index.php?page="poo" (where poo.html is the page I want), it should replace the "page.html" with "poo.html".
This doesnt seem to work though. I just get an error message.
Am I doing it right? I'm tired and google isnt really helping me :(

Back when I was running a really popular site at a different domain, I used to get a lot of hatemail for no apparent reason. This, I think, is due to the fact that out of every so many visitor, you get at least one asshole. If the number of visitors reaches such a low number, the chance of that asshole is so small it's almost non-existent.
Getting this email, that I'll post in reply, makes me feel so good. It means that the number of my visitors to my new site has finally climbed to the point where I can get that one asshole. If you get hatemail at all, from anyone, especially in relation to the blog/journal/website you run, it really means that you've made an impression on someone's life.

So, pretty much like any other team-based multiplayer game.

The reason I ask this is, whenever I have a torrent or two going I can barely do anything else (as in, open up websites.) Just times out. I know it's not a bandwidth issue - I get 200-500k/s off HTTP downloads, but never get over 10-20k/s with any bittorrent client (all ports are forwarded).
It seems to be that, whenever I have torrents going my computer and all the other computers on my network time out when i try to access websites. I assume that, because I have plenty of bandwidth free, it might be something like connections - is this possible?
