Half-Life 1 Engine Update

The Steam website notes an engine update is now available for Half-Life 1. It fixes several exploits, and also changes the master server query protocol.

      Because now gamers get to give props to Valve for not abandoning the poor sods who can't upgrade. It's probably more of a PR thing than anything else. It's another thing for the fan bois to put on their list of why Valve is soo much better than iD, because we all know that there can't be more than one company that makes great games. Or I'm jaded and the game needed a patch. : )

      Theres still like 200 servers out there. This probably wasn't a time consuming patch either.

      Doesn't CS (non-source) still require HL? Theres a ton of those too.

        its updating my CS 1.6 too, though anyways i think that any changes or updates made to the HL1 engine still affect all HL1 engine mods, since they are, you know, HL1 engine mods, so i think this update still affect all HL1 mods, like CS 1. 6, and its gazillions servers

        btw, if this fix what i think it does, its a late welcomed patch, bad server operators could execute files and commands on your computer if you made them mad by hitting 3 headshots in a row, so its cool that they fixed that(hopefully)
