Game Informer: You initially said that you want to games for the most powerful console on the market. And, this rang true with the Xbox. Have you yet considered developing for the PS3, particularly if it ends up being more powerful than the Xbox 360?
Itagaki: I think it’s not yet time to talk about the PS3 since it’s at such an infant stage of its life. For us to make comments or decisions on such an unknown system would not make any sense. Of course, I’m hoping that the PS3 turns out to be what Sony says it is. Think of Moore’s theory of computer evolution, where technology will double every one and half years. So, I hope and pray that the PS3 will develop at a faster rate than Moore put in his theory.
Looking forward to any game Team Ninja puts out. (Except for any silly DOA Volleyball titles...)

I mean... It only has advantages:
- No need to use tabs inside Firefox.
- When surfing you need VERTICAL space, not horizontal.
- You fit a shitload of stuff this way.
I highly recommend it!

Several things I noticed.
1, I don't care what anyone says, the effects have aged extremely well, while a little fuzzy - they are still AWESOME.
2, muppet yoda > cgi yoda x999999
3, "mine mine mine" over the flashlight with R2 is still one of my favourite scenes in a movie ever.
Did I mention muppet > cgi? facial expressions convey so much more emotion.
Finally, the storyline is damn good, "space opera or not" it's just a good movie.
So in conclusion all the Ep3 lovers claiming to "re-watch the originals to see how bad they are" go eat a wamp rat >:(

Come and honor our fallen brothers on this Memorial Day weekend by BLOWING STUFF UP!!
We'll be playing BF1942 v1.61 at bf1942.shackbattles.com:14567 - password is in themelon's profile.
We'll also be using Teamspeak. EVERYONE should be on Teamspeak, at least to listen even if you don't have a mic. We'll be connecting to rydogg1's server: ts.shackbattles.com - no password required.
Last week we had a very manageable 35-40 people, and the games were great. We've gotten a few BF1942 newbies involved. If you're new to the game and need training or help, I (and several others) will be happy to spend all the time you need walking you through the different classes, weapons, tactics, etc. Just let me know!
We'll be playing Vanilla BF1942 1.61! But the map rotation will also include Shackmaps and the tournament map pack. You can get them at the links below.
All right, here's the batch of useful download links if you don't have them:
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=4501 (BF1942 anything -> 1.6)
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=5928 (BF1942 1.6 -> 1.61)
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=5284 (Shack map pack)
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=6351 (EA Tournament map pack)
http://www.toldyouimhardcore.com/umax/ShackTraining.zip (Shack training map, which will be running before the battle for training purposes)
http://www.goteamspeak.com/ (Teamspeak homepage)
http://www.redhavana.net/teamspeak/ (cpt_gloval's guide to setting up Teamspeak -- a bit out of date, but still useful)
http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?id=10065483 (Another utility for those of you that use speakers and a mic with teamspeak)
http://www.qbnut.com/tso/ (Teamspeak Overlay, puts the usernames of those who speak onto your screen. Has caused some stability issues for a few people in the past.)
If you do not download the maps, you will not be able to play them.
Thanks to hirez for the bandwidth.

I'd pick one up if I knew the Revolution wasn't going to be backwards compatible. (The Twilight Princess, anyone?)
I did pick up Final Fantasy VII last night though, after a friend urged me to buy it and some of you guys cried about how great it was. I had played it for only 3-4 hours the last time I had it (ended up selling it, several months back) but now I intend to start over and make a real effort towards getting into it. :)

Here are some of the changes we're working on for next week's update:
* For players on the European servers, there will be different districts for each supported language: English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Players will be placed by default into the district that matches their current language preference, but they will still be able to travel to any available district.
* In order to start a guild battle -- to either issue or accept a challenge -- we will require that at least one guild officer be present on each team. This system will help guilds protect their rating by removing the potential for malicious or careless actions on the part of a guild member.
* Salvaged runes will display their profession and whether they are minor, major, or superior before being identified. Identifying will continue to be required to show the rune's attribute and to unlock the rune. This change will only impact newly salvaged runes; it will not be retroactive to existing unidentified salvaged runes.
* We are adding more boss monster locations to many high-level maps. This will improve the rate at which players can acquire elite skills by dramatically reducing the number of map clearings required to find and capture elite skills.

The better graphics get the more we pick out the flaws.
Back in the NES days with a 240x160 screen, and main charcters 10 pixels tall made of 16 colors, and only 2 animaion frames for walking, noone ever said "that just doesnt look very realistic". When everything is made of low res sprites in a 2D environment it feeds our suspension of disbelief and we simply except that its another universe where things dont work like they do here.
Now with 3D graphics getting so damn good, and so vividly real, we see the tiny flaws that noone would even think of complaining about before. Noone complained that Barney's helmet in Hlaf Life was too shiny, yet DooM 3, even filtered through specular maps, is "plastic". It seems many graphics critics these days are looking at the tiny pimple on Jennifer Connely.
I think you just need to take a step back and appreciate the art style as a whole. If the game had good art direction, and good artists, then it will show and everything will simply work together. We need to bring back the suspension of disbelief. Just let yourself go and enjoy the experience. If the bandana doesnt look like real cloth, ask yourself if contra's bandana looked real, and how much fun was that?

What are your driving weaknesses and strengths?
I drive like a bat out of hell. I regularly go 85-90 mph on the interstates here in Atlanta, including right through downtown, and have gone over 70 on some of the residential surface streets. I wouldn't say that I weave or cut people off, but I do change lanes often. I tailgate when people don't move to the right so I can pass. My strengths as a driver include that I am very very focused on the road ahead of me and what other drivers are doing, and are likely to do. I have patience when I need it; I don't needlessly move to pass if there's a slow car in that lane too. I don't tailgate if there's nothing the car in front of me can do to let me by.

I've tried the 54g offerings by TrendNET (hah!), DLink, Hawking, and Netgear... and all of them... ALL of them freeze the system randomly after 10-30 minutes. The computer is not responsive to anything... frozen keyboard, mouse, etc... so I'm forced to do a hard reset.
I'm at my wit's end, and I figure it's a conflict with either WinXP SP2, or my USB 2.0 drivers... but I have every driver up to date (for the USB 2.0 bus on the mobo AND for the various adapters), and XPSP2 is patched up all the way.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Google and the various websites for these companies have been completely useless. :(

But I think the eggs are counterproductive to my weight-loss goals, and I just can't get used to the Egg Beaters or whatever egg alternatives are sold in stores. Any suggestions? A friend of mine swears by plain yogurt+granola as the main portion of breakfast.

anyone have experience with this board? also, are there any reputable reviews? i like 939 and i like abit, but i have a bad taste in my mouth from when i was running my old thunderbird chip on a via.
i've heard that they turned their shit around recently, but i'm also still hearing "avoid via".
i realise the via doesn't perform as well as the nf4, but i also hear it's by a very slight margin.
