It seems like games running on the various Unreal engines have never carried quite the same amount of similarity...I wonder why?
Not that this, or Quake 4 won't be any good, but the look feels so similar to Doom 3 to me that I really can't get all that excited.

Seriously, I'm this close to giving up on upgrading the PC and just buying one. It'll definately be less expensive in the long run.
Oh PC, how sorry I am that I'm betraying you :(

Prey looks pretty good, but on a detailed level I see lots of seems on the skins, some inconsistent texture densities and akward shadows from some very obvious low, low poly areas of the models. These are nitpicks, and I'm sure won't matter in the end. I'm sure it will be a fun game.

I'm surprised at the performance they were able to squeeze out of the Doom 3 engine. The demo machines weren't much faster than mine, but it seemed to run almost as well as Doom 3 did, albiet with much more complicated scenes.
What was unique to the game (the use of portals and spirit world view) seemed to work really well. I'm curious to see how the final game works out.

Also, hooray for some new news posts, I was thinking their hotel internet troubles were gonna stuff things up completely. Needs more non-id-engine games now please. :)

I hate kids. I guess they know that many do.
I hope they do The Right Thing and make Prey high quality...
