i too would like to see a video, of actual gameplay. what's it like to hop in a game and run around for 10 minutes. please, no smoke and mirrors. my future loyalty to tf2 is on the line =S

More games, really need this intergrated into the game. yes there's teamspeak, ventrilo etc, but they just can't do the things intergrated games can.
Splinter cell CT was a great example of this. You could tag the enemy and hear their conversations, when you got knocked out you couldn't speak etc.
In a game like et, imagine when someone calls for a medic, instead of it being a global sound, it's location based so you'll hear the cry loudly if he's close. Same with fire in the hole! etc. Or taunting a near by enemy.
These things just can't be done with ventrilo or any outside of the game voice com. app. This is one thing xbox live has. We need a company to make this as a library for game developers and licence it to them, instead of users managing servers etc with the currrent crop of voice apps.
I remember a post way back from carmack about hacking in voice com in quake3 when it was still being developed but never happened.
Is splinter cell the only pc game with voice built in?
And I hope covert ops class doesn't get dropped. A lot of people hate it but it's my favourite class. Maybe he can steal an alien uni with some holo equiped uni super techno thingie ;)

I also am wondering how the Strogg will play...right now I'm not all that hyped about playing as the Strogg really...but I think that's more because I don't really have any clue what it'll be like to play as them.

Quake 4 is a continuation of the Quake 2's story & the continuation of Quake 3 arena's multiplay...(from what i've read in the ign interview, expect rocket jump, bunny hop, teleportation and jump pads & other quake signiture in the mulitplay.......just no vehicles).....
Quake Wars is an experiment for Id (& splash damage) IMO........
In this way, even if they includes alot of 'unquake' features(like vehicles for example), most gamers will not complain since it's more of a sub-series rather than the main series

Can't wait to play this.
And I hope there is not an Xbox port, consoles are killing the pc gaming area and even though I hate exclusive titles, which run amok on the console side, we need the same on the pc side. But I realize they can't ignore the dollars on the console side.
Besides fps with a gamepad sucks. And yes I've played halo, and even though that was the first one that didn't irrate me, it's just not the same. Then you might say get a usb keyboard mouse for the xbox, well most won't have that so you'll have an unfair advantage, which might be fun to you saying 'Ya! I'm owning them all!!' but I'd rather play on a level playing field.
