New Counter-Strike

The page is currently quite slow (for me at least) but once you get to the download page there's a list of mirrors for the 31mb full download or a 12mb patch. If you didn't know, Valve helped a little with development of this new release (which has a lot of new features). 3D Palette has an interview with lead modeler/skinner Gooseman. They also have a new screenshot that shows off the new 'snow dude' terrorist player model by Gooseman and a hostage by Valve's Chuck Jones.

That\'s nothing. A few weeks ago I saw Sin, Heretic 2 and a dozen other Activision games at Staples selling for $7.99. And that\'s in CANADIAN dollars.
They were \"Activision Classics\" or some such thing. My guess is you don\'t get a manual like with EA\'s \"classics\".
I\'ve wasted more time playing CS than any other game this year -- and that\'s saying something! :)

this thing kicks ass. been using for 2 days and im really impressed with downloads. im getting this one 20.7 kb/sec is anyone else doing that good. I just started downloading it. been getting downloads with good mirrors at around 200.0 kb/sec usually i will only get 90 but somehow this program makes it fly...
....
any how Counter-strike is kickass if you have half-life its a must get...best description is teamforess2 beta. I imagine this is how TF2 will feel gameplay wise
