Digital Illusions Product Lineup

Battlefield developer Digital Illusions sent out a few press releases today, one of them announcing a new PC game for release this fall and another to announce a PSP version of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. The untitled PC shooter is being developed at DICE's Canadian office, which developed Battlefield Vietnam. PSP porting of Modern Combat is being done at one of EA's UK studios. Here's what DICE has planned for the next few quarters

Anyone know if BF2 will suck and not let you choose the refresh rate for different resolutions and also not crash to desktop when you first run it because it can't figure out the default refresh rate?

The game is based on Digital Illusions' brand and is planned for a fall 2005 debut.

Brand based... hmmm... wonder if it's a revival of Codename Eagle or just a another BF offshoot.

unannounced PC title to be released in the fall? hmm that's pretty soon for a full blown game to be released that doesn't even have a title...im guessing BF2 expansion. Odd they have no longterm PC titles on the forecast whatsoever. Maybe they are waiting for BF2 to actually ship before thinking what to do next. Or maybe they're waiting for Bush to start another war so they have a theme ;)

I don't like Battlefield because I'm not attracted to WWII shooters that much, but I respect the game is a good piece of work, and am interested in anything non war/realism related that they can toss our way.

I really hope Battlefield on the PSP plays well. I'm not sure how the control scheme would work for that one. Please let it be good though. We also need the headset released for this thing before this game it.
