Delta Force: Xtreme Golden

Novalogic has announced that Delta Force: Xtreme, the updated (new graphics and mission) version of the original Delta Force has gone gold. It will ship to stores April 21st, and has an MSRP of $19.99. A singleplayer demo will be released soon.

DF multiplayer deathmatch was awesome. The voxels were just perfect for hiding in the grass. I remember sniping....crawling to another spot....waiting only to be knifed by someone coming up from behind me. Fun fun. It was always exciting to find a muzzle flash somewhere in the distance...then you knew you had the guy in your sights and he was yours.

Hm, I'll probably pick this up.. I've bought and played Delta Force, DF2, and DF3 (was that one Land Warrior?), and also DF: Black Hawk Down. Not really sure why, but their games just appealed a lot to me (and I never really played multiplayer, except for a few coop games). But I can remember playing the original Delta Force demo over and over again.. man that game was sweet.

For some reason I have at least a bit of a sense of loyalty to Novalogic.. they manage to stay in business despite being independent (unless I'm mistaken), and although their games aren't what many would call mindblowing, usually they are solid and fun to play. Plus, voxels kick ass, amirite?

I only ever played the DF demos (except for BHD, bought that one) but I enjoyed their stuff. This should be well worth the asking price. Good move Novalogic. I wish id would do "remixes" like this - Carmack had mentioned it was on the table at one point. I don't see a problem playing a solid game again with a graphical upgrade. Look at CS:S
