Half-Life 2 and Machinima

With the release of Garry's Mod and other utilities, fans of Half-Life 2 have been pumping out wonderful pieces of art and entertainment using the universe within the game. Slashdot pointed us to a couple, one being a comic that carries on the series with a serious overtone, Apostasy, and another that is a music video, starring a singing G-Man, called Still Seeing Breen. Of course, who can forget Kevin Pereira's Lamarr's Big Day? Thanks to a dedicated community, it appears Half-Life 2 is becoming a serious tool for the machinima community. This is my use of Garry's mod. It is a bit old now, and I still need to work on it a bit or something. This is a repost, i've posted this before:

Geez, uh, what a way to show your fanboism Alec. Doom3 has other great machinema examples as well. And Halo2, and Quake and Max Payne... the list goes on. This stuff isn't exclusive to HL2.

This stuff died with Ranger Gone Bad 3 and anything more is whipping the dead horse.

There's only one thing stopping "Still seeing Breen" from being perfect... the framerate. Some of those segments had a horrible framerate. Someone should donate these guys a new rig ;)

Regardless if you like the song or not, Still Seeing Breen is great stuff and is well put together.

Captures the essence of HL2 and a personal realism to it all.
