Word from Vivendi Universal Games is that Mad Doc Software's strategy game sequel Empire Earth 2 has gone gold. The game is scheduled to hit North American store shelves April 28, and carries an MSRP of $49.99. You can find a demo of the game on Fileshack.

I sent my resume to this company when I was in school 3 years ago. I recieved a response like, "if you want to work for us be prepaired to work long hours at little to no money!" I basicly stoped my game industry search there. Working in the industry has little apeal to me. I have a college roomate that works on games and has been for like 4-5 years. He works for a top 5 game company (it starts with an A) He makes about half what I do as a software engineer doing corprate type work and he works 50-60 hours a week.

Yeah the first one wasn't what I had hoped for but I really enjoyed this demo. The territories made it more fun. I really don't want to buy it but I don't think I can hold out for a new RTSG 'till AOE III comes out.

The first game I had high hopes for and was letdown by the demo. I see more of the same from the sequal.

$50 bucks for a game that will be crap and probably unsupported....look for it to be in the bargain bin soon for $5.99
