  • laptop maybe but not really menz

I just did a fresh Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 install on my laptop. The only program I have set to load at startup is NOD32 (antivirus). After the laptop is done booting up, the only icons I have in my system tray are my 2 network icons (wifi and wired) and NOD32. What I am missing here are the power and volume control icons, both of which are enabled. I have to go into the power control panel everytime I boot and uncheck/apply/recheck/apply the icon option for it to appear, same applies for the volume control.

I've seen this happen before and wasn't sure what I did to fix this, any ideas?
