2DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil comes out today (and already showed up in several US stores this weekend), should be good for a couple of fun hours. Kinda surprised at the price though, that's pretty hefty for an expansion pack. Movie: I've got some yellow liquid for your popcorn. And it's non-dairy.

April 26th @ Buffalo. Chimaira. Heavy rock. $14 tickets. Only 2.5 weeks away. Crash at my place after and play games/get drunk/whatever you like to do Ghey sechs? Or maybe head out to the local Lasertron and hit up some lasertag action (the one I know if is about 5 minutes from me in Amherst, so it's in a totally not ghetto area). There's lots of good restaurants/bars/bar & grilles right near Lasertron as well.

Attn C# Menz
So im picking up some C# nowadays. I wanted to purchase O'Reilly's Programming C#. The 3rd edition of the book focuses in C# 1.1 whereas the new 4th Edition deals with C# 2.0
My question was, which one should i pick up. C# 2.0 isnt even fully out yet and requires the express editions of the beta vs2005. I will be graduating in about a year. WIll learning C# 2.0 limit me then as most people wont have adopted it by then ? Or will it actually help as i`ll know something new.
Is there even a lot of difference between 1.1 and 2.0

So, I ended up getting a nice cushy summer intern job making good money and I told myself if I got the job (which I was doubtful on) then I would go buy a PSP.
Now the question is, is it worth it? I really, really, want to play Lumines, but I don't really know of any other games coming down the wire that I want to play. Anything coming for the PSP that would be worth buying the system?

I didn't do any crazy diet programs or calorie counting or exercise regimes. I simply stopped drinking so much goddamn Coke and eating so many goddamn chips. I also started out by walking for 30 minutes every couple days, to running, sporadic weight lifting and tennis. Now I exercise fairly regularly through martial arts and I'll be doing some lifting for the next few months as well to hopefully build some muscle for the summer.

ok, perhaps it's just me, but the MEGA HUGE EVENT THAT YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED!!!!!! that is supposedly on tonight's episode just seems so obvious and they've been essentially slapping us in the face with the outcome for at least the past 6 episodes.
the twist is probably the return of palmer. after the prez and vice prez are shot down in air force one (the most obvious twist ever), he retakes office during crisis.
or we just haven't seen the real target yet and it's been cheap misinformation and heavy handed misdirection. only way to have a complete twist is offering up new information.

I know I'm slightly late on the boat for impressions, but holy shit this game is fun.
Think of it as a more simplified version of Operation Flashpoint with action that shares a lot of qualities of Call of Duty. Running through a field, telling one of your two teams of men to lay a heavy base of fire on some Germans while you and another guy circle around the side. One of my favorite moments, is when you end up flanking some Germans, to sit and watch them for a moment through your Iron Sights. It's really cool to see them firing back at some of your guys, panicking, reloading, yelling at each other in the German language.
When it all comes down to it, a lot of the commanding actually feels like a first-persno Warcraft 2. You select a group of guys, tell them to move to a specific area in your feild of vision, and then a second or two later, tell them to move to a slightly different position, re-adjusting what you just told them. I did a lot of this playing Warcraft 2, and it feels quite similar.
The battles feel pretty open ended, to the point where you don't have to follow a set path through the map, a-la Call of Duty, and you can defeat the bad guys in several different ways. One time I had an MG42 laying down some supressive fire on my guys, so I had a tank roll up and supress HIM. Then I sent my guys around the corner and told them to rush the soldiers that were operating the MG42, while I layed a base of fire at another group of Germans who were to the other side of the MG42 nest trying to pick off my guys. But at the same time, I could do things completley different. I could have MY guys lay down a base of fire for me as I rolled on the tank, firing it's mounted machine gun, taking out the MG42.
Silent Wolf was right, I feel like I am almost literally playing Band of Brothers at times. The sound design is absolutely fabulous, especially with headphones on (I don't have 5.1), but even with headphones on, the directional sound still works quite well.
I really am enjoying this game. I really really hope they make an expansion pack, I can tell I'm gonna be playing with this for quite a while.

Suddenly yesterday morning I'm getting huge amounts of static in my audio in CS:Source and HL2. No other games or programs are affected. I figured something got corrupted and uninstalled HL2, deleted the folder and reinstalled CS:S by downloading it instead of using my cds. I'm still getting the fucking static. Q3A, DoW demo, Starcraft, ETF all have no problems. Only CS:S. It doesn't happen right away, it usually starts anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes into game.
any clues or at least a site that might help? I can't find anything similar in the steamforums.

1. Set up a dynamic reservation system. She needs to be able to add dates, take reservations, mark specific sessions as filled, etc.
2. Set up user system. Users need to be able to log in to register and have information already filled in.
3. Create email manager to send out mass mailings to users.
4. Create administrator area to manage all this shit without my involvement or her using any coding.
The main problem would be taking payment. I've never dealt with that before. How would I take credit cards and process them? What service does this, and how do I include it with my PHP forms to know how much the package would cost?
Finally, how much would you charge for this sort of project? Keep in mind I'm a high school kid, but I'm by no means her friend doing this for nothing. Would you quote hourly or by the whole package?

OMG. So I sat in row 3 behind home plate at today's Seattle Mariners season opener, thanks to my friend who scored these tickets through her work. Some client of the place that she works has these tickets and gave them to her boss, who couldn't use them, so he gave them to her. I will upload the best of my pictures later, but here's an idea of how frickin close I was to the action.

Is there any way to prevent another RDP user from loging in when one user is in?
For example, we have a PC that is remotely accessed but I don't want people kicking each other off. There has to be a way to say "woah daddy, someone is already in here, piss off!"
