3D Realms sends along the Shadow Warrior source code, allowing you to modify the 1.2 codebase for the game. The code is licensed under the terms of the GPL (gnu public license), and this release doesn't mean you can distribute the original Shadow Warrior data files.

this is awesome, all we need now if monolith to release the Blood engine source, nothing better then setting people on fire and have them scream in pain and burn into ash, all coupled with the catchy one liners. If Evil Dead ever had a video game, blood was it, dual akimbo sawed off shotguns, alt firing modes, decapitation, axe wielding zombies, head soccer, evil zealot monks, very unique art direction.... strong images.........

someone needs to develope a physics engine for gibs, so when you pump someone in the face their head splits open like a melon and flaps around, while blood kinda splatters and spews everywhere until their fluid reservoir is out, or have like the intestines spill out of the big gaping hole in their torso, its time for fps's to take a step back and perfect the GORE ASPECT OF SHOOTING GAMES<<<< ITS WHAT SHOOTING GAMES ARE ALL ABOUT, not this arcade fantasy bullshat
