EA's Battlefield 2 newsletter went out last night, offering some new media from DICE's multiplayer shooter sequel Thanks TotalBF2. There are several new screenshots, there is the latest producer interview with executive producer Scott Evans talking about voice over IP and mod tool support, and there is also a ground combat video.

Even tho I am strangely unexcited about the game, if there's A-10's to be flown uber-close to the ground, and hapless tanks to be blasted I'll be there. That was my favorite part of Desert Combat ;)

Am I the only one losing interest in TF2 now? Of course, we'll all be stoked when we see TF2 source screenies... but I just can't wait any longer. Bring on TF2 EA! Err... BF2? ... :<

I was gonna give this game a go,
After visiting the website, and checking out all the videos,
I'm not.

I was very turned off by the real gameplay videos (not scripted), too much like BF1942. Even in these videos, was nade spamming, vechical machine guns that SHOULD mow down soldiers quickly and easily dont.

And I watched a video where, guy comes up behind another soldier, opens up on his back..... NME stands up and almost runs away, before finally dying, when he should of died immediately at that range and not moving

I think this game is TOO much on the Kiddy Arcade side for my liking.
Graphics look nice thou.

This game looks uba rad. But im still weary about the arcadey ness.

1942 was pure arcade, Nam was less, (infantry combat actually got good), and I thought BF2 was gonna have even better infantry, but judging by those vids, it looks like they copied the UT2k4 damage system. Shot to the head, no worries.

I hope these videos are just not showing the whole picture. I like it when 3 bullets from an m16 kill someone in NAM, and not a whole friggn clip of thomspson in 1942.

such a beautiful game, with ballistics too, no more not being able to shoot through pieces of wood and crap, it will only be a matter of time before a realism mod is released similar to how call of duty works. that reg game is blah, but the realism modded servers are awesome. I cant wait to be able to play as some dirty iraqi, they just need a suicide bomber category
