My girlfriend loves 24. She also mildly enjoys videogames. Will 24: The Game appeal to her? I told her about it and she didn't seem that excited. Check with your signficant other if they'd play a game based on 24; I think the results could prove interesting.

  • 24: The Game

    [ps2]
The rumored title is now a reality. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe revealed that they have signed a deal with Fox Entertainment to develop a game based on the popular TV series. It will be exclusive to the PlayStation 2 and release at the end of this year. The game will take place between seasons 2 and 3 and will feature the voices and likenesses of Keifer Sutherland, Carlos Bernard, and Elisha Cuthbert. It will employ many different gameplay techniques: stealth, puzzle solving, interrogation challenges, gun action, and vehicle combat. It's being developed by SCEE's Cambridge Studio who recently developed Primal and Ghost Hunter.
  • Grandia 3 Announced

    [ps2]
In its next issue, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu will showcase Square Enix's newest RPG, Grandia III. The game will make heavy use of an aerial setting, as the hero and his friends use an airship to travel around the world. There will be changes to the battle system, as IGN desribed, "Characters and enemies are placed on a time bar that dictates when they'll be moving, although the interface has apparently been changed so the time bar is now circular. New features include counter attacks, cancel attacks, and even aerial combos." Square Enix will publish the title and release footage in early May.
  • No PS3 Details This Month

    [ps2]
Sometime this month, Sony was expected to hold a press event in Japan to unveil general details regarding their next-gen PlayStation but it appears plans have changed. No such meeting will take place and it's not clear if any will. E3 may very well be the venue for a full release of details on the next-gen PlayStation. Sony told Reuters that it did not want to pressure game developers with such an announcement.

NHL Hitz 20-02 for the GameCube. "The oldest (and the best) version NHL Hitz. Action includes 3v3 super-intense, heavy-hitting, one-timing hockey. No, wait, it's not hockey. It's a fight on a rink of ice, where everybody happens to have hockey sticks." (submitted by cajuncook).
