Good: That it isn't the score fest that the Xbox, PS2, etc. versions are. It isn't exactly hard, but I've yet to get an ace or a 150yd eagle. And I am missing lots of puts (which is from me either not putting straight, or my putting skill being too low, either of which is cool).
Bad: The load times. BETWEEN HOLES even. Anyone else getting this? It's like 10-20 seconds between each hole. Or do I have a gasp UMD driver problem? (Doubt it).

It's a 512mb flash player I've had for about a year that I used in the gym and running but I recently purchased a 1gb iPod Shuffle for $149 so I don't need it anymore. It's in great condition, works fine. You transfer songs to it easily just through windows explorer and it has USB 2.0 transfer speeds so its pretty fast.

Ever since reading the Illiad many, many years ago I've always wanted a game set in this setting. And it's a great bonus that it captures Homers violence so well.
I played Rome: Total War for about an entire week a month ago or so, I absolutely loved it but my hard drive was going insane back then and the loading times and everything were making my game really slow(radeon 9600 so no prob there) and ended up deleting it.
Anyway, I'm going to reinstall it again now that I have a new HD but maybe it wont be as much fun, as it already bored me a bit, I'm wondering about the other Total War games? I believe there's Shogun and Medieval or something?
What's different about the other TW games and do you recommend them? why? I'd like a mini review of them so I can consider them. Thank you very much!

I love to sing, and I sing along with music at work every day. I can sing country real well, soft rock real well, and I can do really, really heavy growly stuff (on the verge of death metal style). The only thing I really can't do is screaming like the style in Linkin Park (sorry for that example :P), which I don't like anyway.
So a guy at work came up to me and told me a local band he knows needs a vocalist that can do hard stuff like that, and they said they want to hear me. I'd love to do it. I want to see where I can go with mixing up the heavy stuff with soft, slow stuff-kind of like how Maynard can mix up slow singing with heavy singing in the same song and make it sound great.
But right now I'm working full time and going to school. I only have the weekends free. I could work out a schedule to make it work, but now I may have an internship which I'd need to devote my time to. The internship is very important and I need the $12/hr, but how many times does a band basically come to you?
So basically I have a choice between my business career or doing something I love (and making no money in it unless it works out). The band thing is a huge risk, and the business career isn't. I'm totally leaning toward doing the internship, but damn. Why now?!

* Buy one Friday at Fry's. Has a single dead pixel. Off all the time. I return it and they swap for another one. No hassles or anything.
* The new one today...has about 8 pixels that are lit all the time. And it's horrible on dark backgrounds.
What the hell? Guess I just keep returning them until I get one that works?

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a site with css that directly replaces table cells easily? I find a lot of sites that talk about tableless design but they are almost exclusively the major page layout design which I figured out.
What I'm looking to do is replace your standard table layout with css do to something like the following. Have two cells next to each other, also each cell has to expand its height to the maximum size of either of them. So if the left cell is taller, the right expands to match its height and vice versa. Just like table cells do. Also they to be able to be called row after row and most importantly they always have to be adjacent to one another no matter the page size.

He mumbles some crap at me about how he ran "DH Client" thing and it didn't "find anything" and some other garbage; last time he bugged me about networking stuff, he through 127.0.0.1 was a valid IP address for his Realtek 8139 NIC and ifconfig was telling him he had working networking so it was the campus's issue to fix. I'm a network tech in the dorms so I get to hear about it.

oh, and kudos to sony for including 2 DIFFERENT covers for their games for us canadians, unlike the fucking dvd studios who write french all over my covers. sony even printed out a separate colour manual in french...albiet the quality isn't as good as the english version, it's completely in colour! wonder how much they jack up our prices to appease the french.
