Because a buddy of mine recently returned from Vegas with a coupla grand in his pocket. So he built himself a new pimped out rigged, and decided to throw in a Gigabyte 6600GT with the Silent Pipe cooling for me to replace my ol vanilla 9600.

What an obnoxious thing becomes when you're trying to fire off a few comments before beginning work. Now I have to sit with extra windows open with replies already typed waiting to go until the timer runs out. It accomplishes nothing other than wasting posters' time. The replies are still going to get posted, they're just wasting resources, sitting in browser windows until the PRL expires.
There has to be a better way to enact flood control around here. Not trying to tell you how to mod your board but this PRL is getting worse and needs to be cut back.
Expected reply: "But we haven't changed the PRL in years, man."

Depending on your tastes, you could argue that it's the best PS2 game ever. I could see how some gamers would argue for things like Metal Gear Solid 3, Final Fantasy X, etc., but it's really like arguing over who the basketball player of all time is. Cases can be made for Michael or Magic or Larry, but those guys are all undeniably brilliant players. God of War is an undeniably brilliant game. This is a game that every PS2 owner should experience.

I'm currently testing out the BitComet client as an alternative to Azureus, and so far the automatic configuration of connection settings and relative ease on system resources is very encouraging. However, I'm having trouble getting a PeerGuardian-style IP filter database working. The ipfilter-howto.txt that came with BitComet recommends http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/help.cgi?l=1&rm=show_topic&topic_id=142 for help, but I don't quite understand how to produce a properly-formatted ipfilter.dat file for the client.
Does anyone have enough experience with the BitComet client to help me out on this one? The IP filter problem is really the only thing holding me back from converting, even if I have to update the database manually from time to time (compared to Azureus' SafePeer plugin's auto-update feature).

been playing it for like 3 days now. i figured since ill mostly be playing from midnight-6am pst, it should be ok, since there wont be tons of people on. and true enough, i hardly ever see more than 1 or 2 people around unless im in orgrimmar or something.
every morning at 5am, it goes down. monday it was a reboot, yesterday it went down for 6 hours for a patch. i dont see how it can take 6 hours to apply a patch, but whatever, im not making the game, and i was about to quit and go to bed anyhow so i dont really care.
but now, its 3am, and 'the world server is down'. wtf is this shit?
this is why i fucking hate mmorpgs. i have to buy the game, then i have to buy it again every month, and i cant even play it when i have time to. i can only play it when blizzard says i can, and even then, when something catastrophic doesnt happen to bring down the world server, auth server, or some other fucking server to prevent me from getting in.
and when i do get in, i play for 20-25 min, get booted out, and when i get back in i see that nothing i did in the last 20 min even happened.
no, i dont think ill be buying any subscriptions. 3 days in a row now ive been booted out of it for xyz reason. if im paying for it every month i should be able to play whenever the fuck i want to.

So I watched the Animatrix last night...
First short: Now THAT is what I'd be using that kind of a computer for. Hell yeah!
Last short: By far the most awesome, but there is one thing I don't understand about the ending. Did the woman die after the runner plugged them both in and she screamed at it in VR? If not, is she just knocked unconscious? wtf? I'm just wondering because she wasn't shown out on the cliff with the runner in the last frame. Was the runner supposed to be the 'only survivor'?
Overall I liked the changing animation styles in each of the shorts. It gave some good background information on the Matrix universe, but don't think I'll be picking it up for just a few short 'toons. Maybe if there were more than 9 of 'em.

I got some from the Japanese market, fried it for like 12 minutes (the package said 2 minutes lol).. it's golden and crispy outside and smells great but the inside is still perfectly pink but scorchingly hot.

Some damn tauren killed me while I was lagged out. Couldn't get off my mount, didn't even fire a shot. He must've known something was up. Or maybe he didn't.
I found him 5 minutes later, and killed him 6 times in a row. Then took out almost all of Tarren Mill.
Some damn rogue 9 levels above me killed me while I was fighting mobs. Found and killed him several times in a row.
It's rewarding in some sense. You waste 5 minutes of my time, I waste 30 minutes of both our time.
