Vivendi Universal Games has announced that SWAT 4 is finished, and will ship to stores April 5 in North America and a week later for the rest of the world. The official site has been opened as well.

You know you can change the control interface to a keyboard-only system, like in SWAT 3? It's the "classic" interface in the options menu.

Played the demo and the game seems like it's little more than SWAT 3 with a facelift. Same old non-interactive environment - in the age of Havok-driven physics that's just inexcusable. Control interface is screwed up because it's all mouse/menu instead of the more practical mouse/keyboard/menu combo. I'll pass.

the multiplayer beta was pretty fun, I just hope they've fixed all the "mods" and crap that started appearing for people's weapons.
