Super Nintendo questions!
Anyone have any good leads on where I could find a system? Or somehow get mine fixed? I miss that system like crazy. Mine doesn't work properly, and cleaning does nothing. Basically, the background art is jarbled, but foreground stuff (Link, monsters, heart and item readout up top for example) looks fine. I don't want an emulator. I want to use my old, great controller to play Link to the Past, Illusion of Gaia, Donkey Kong Country. (And hopefully find Secret of Mana somewhere).
Anyways. If anyone here has an old SNES they don't want or know where I can nab one, let me know.

I ended up watching the Shield instead and I must say, that's some good stuff. I don't normally like cop shows, but then again I guess it's not your ordinary cop show.

just got this game, nice graphics, blah blah. here are my problems:
I can't afford anything better than the infiniti g20 to start with, that's fine.
In the beginner races, no matter how well I drive, I'll always get SMOKED by the competition... lil fucking mini coopers are going faster than my car down the straights, and when I'm obviously not going to corner as well as them, how on earth can I ever hope to pass them and earn enough credits out of slow-car hell??

Also: is there anyway to disable those fucking intro pauses into every single race, where it shows me humping around the track for 20 seconds before it finally "starts" the race? That fucking shit is annoying, when I have to re-do the race over 20x to get F'ing 3rd place in a miracle. Fuck, why do I suck so much at racing?

GIANTS CITIZEN KABUTO Shackbattle Tonight!

Hey now, too all those tired of CS:S or looking for a break from WOW, go find your Giants Citizen Kabuto cds and start reinstalling! I know we have a couple interested already and we dont need that many for a good battle.

I would be glad to make an official battle on Shackbattles.net but its not listed I didnt see a place to add it.

Where: Server is unknown at the moment but if we have to we can run it off one of our cable connections. If someone is willing to host with a half decent connection that would be great.

It's the world-famous Favorite Console Controller Thread!

So what's your favorite?
I know there've been different versions of controllers, third-party, etc, but how about your favorite "Official" and then your favorite out of any (again including Official).

I think I'll dig mine out to answer my own thread in a minute. In the meantime, I'll be choosing from NES (original rectangle), NES Max Pad (or whatever it was with the sliding circle in place of a cross and also turbo buttons), SNES, SNES Asciipad, N64, Gamecube, Gamecube Wavebird, Playstation Dualshock2, XBox S. Hmn. This'll be interesting. Either that, or I'm a dork with too much free time.

Cell phone problem. I was gone for 10 days for spring break and now my voice mail box is full, and I can't access it. Verizon is the company and its the generic LG camera phone everyone in the world has. It doesn't actually show that I have a voice message, but when I hold the voice mail button it just rings, tells me its full and to hang up. No where can I press the button so I can listen and delete messages.

I've been having some strange hard drive trouble:

Got a 160gb seagate drive, and it's been working fine for a few weeks. But just recently, it started acting up - my computer would freeze out of nowhere while trying to access stuff from this drive, and then after some time it would unfreeze leaving like only my web browser open, but nothing on the page last viewed would open or load etc... just mouse movment and links would be highlighted when mouse-over...

Then, when starting up, it would freeze at the screen where you can enter BIOS setup. Sometimes it would say Checking NVRAM... and nvram would go from 0 to like 500000.. sometimes it would say no nvram found or something... then windows would finally load unusually slow only to lock up my computer at a random time.

I unplugged that hard drive for now, it's a slave, and my primary boot drive with windows works fine now, no lock ups...

Is this possibly some virus on that drive or more likely hardware damage? What the hell is NVRAM?
