GDC Update:

You already heard of the DS stuff, and Fable for PC - but what you don't know is that Molyneux is actually interested in creating an MMORPG. After being asked the question of MMORPGs by an audience member, he mentioned that he liked WoW and was interested in developing one, but doesn't want it to be fantasy based. please syndicate please

Molyneux is a very cool guy and very approachable. He even gave one of his business cards to another volunteer who asked for it (which made me feel stupid since I was in the moment and didn't). Tomorrow, I have to face Kornelia @ 2:45PM in a Doom 3 match. I never knew she was left handed.

So the woman and I have been talking about making more videos, more specifically I brought up my life long dream (?) of running a porn site, and started running off some numbers on exactly how much money we could possibly make off of just a small audience and a new video and some pics every week or two, and she loved it, which I think is awesome. What could be better than making heaps of cash off people staring at your penis? NOTHING! God, my life rules.

Anyway, no new videos yet, sorry.

I learned a few days ago that she has an anal fetish, something I've never done before, nor desired to do before, but with her it seems like more a possibility. Trying to get myself prepared for that one, I'm honestly scared, mostly of hurting her in some way...

We found a great house to rent that we should be moving into soon, which is great. Things are fantastic. Gotta get that whole porn site thing moving, though, that way I can make those heaps of cash before she ends up leaving me for her ex-fiance. (Joking, of course, yeah, hmm...)

Star Wars:

1.) Ok Yoda vs. Palpatine in the Senate Chamber. I smell ass kicking.
2.) Obiwan vs. Anakin. This saber fight better be FANTASTIC!
3.) The part where the Z-95s (the look like it) are spiraling into action theres an explosion and R2 does his typical "Holy shit!" squeal and the scenes right after that have the best possible music overtone, I think. I think they should have kept playing that song (since the next part is kind of a good continuation.)
4.) In the original triology, notice how stiff Vader is, he always moves very methodically and without much action. The way he crosses his arms all tough at the end kind of opposes this but oh well.
5.) I will buy that R2D2 gets his memory erased but why doesn't Kenobi recognize him when Luke brings him to meet him in Episode IV? Huh?
6.) What if Palpatine and Sidious are not really the same person, since Palpatine seems to have both a human side and an inhuman side; and of course it seems that he was the master of the dark side of the force since the beginning, and Vader was always just another addict.
7.) There better be a scene where Anakin, freshly in his Vader suiit, goes completely ape, because I can't imagine waking up one day and just noticing that machines are keepign me alive. And he has to hurt like hell under that suit from that lava... (Kind of extra spoiler)
8.) BIGASS SPACE FIGHTS! SHIPS COLLIDING! Early TIEs versus Z95s! Thsi is all so exciting!

Should be a cool film. But it begs more questions--how can the droids in these films be more advanced than those in later films? The little skinny battle droids make even the more articulated droids of the first three films kind of stupid looking... like the little robo dog Chewie scares onboard the Death Star.

I have a Linksys WAP11 Ver. 2.8 Wireless Access Point, hooked up to a 10/100 5-port switch, which is hooked up to my DSL modem/router. My computer has a wired connection to the switch, and everything works fine. My wife's laptop used to be able to find the wireless network, but now it cannot. Her PDA, on the other hand, is able to find the network, although it doesn't seem to be able to do anything else. I am unable to log into the WAP (it's supposed to be at 192.168.1.251, and it also has a separate configuration utility I'm supposed to be able to use to configure it). I can't even ping it.

So...is it likely busted? Resetting it by turning it off and back on does nothing. Resetting by using the full reset button on the back does nothing. Am I missing something important here? I've even tried switching the network cables around, to no avail.

Had to get an ambulance out to my gran in the night, she had a grand total of six seizures, most accompanied by vomiting... around five the phone rang, it was her emergency buzzer, I come around to fit her writhing on her back trying not to choke on her own vomit. >:(

the paramedics/technicians/whatever the fuck they like to be called these days were here for about an hour, right now my gran is asleep in bed, and we're under doctors instructions to maintain 24/7 watch on her for two weeks.

Of course, my life being what it is, there's a catch...
with bonus +4 to 'YOU'RE FUCKING KIDDING ME'

We have house viewers today, at 11pm (it's 9pm now)

the good news is that I moved the 802.11b basestation and I now have good wireless reception in her side of the building.

Networking/Internet Random Question

Why is upload speed so much more expensive for DSL/Cable user than download speed (i.e. 3 Megabits uploads are a premium, but 3 Megabit downloads are becoming standard)? At the lowest level, it's just signals being sent back and forth, so why would ones coming in one direction be more expensive than in the other? Is it because of some sort of decoding/encoding process that is more resource intensive on the upload side of things? Is it an artifical limit because ISP's know that more upload bandwidth means people are more likely to use the line for servers, and therefore more overall bandwidth will be used?

I know it's late, but does anybody have any insight into this?
