What does living like a lord have anything to do with Castle Building and Gameplay??

The more and more media I see about this Game, the more and more I'm worried it will suck, because their spending so much time and money on pointless fluff instead of making the castle building/gameplay more fine tuned..

  Yeah, I really have no interest in playing The Sims with people in a castle. But most god type games nowadays have some customizable automanagement option, and I'm sure Stronghold 2 will have such a setting for people like me who just want to build castles and fight battles.

  What about that one game in the arcade.
  You had a rolling ball as a controller and you fired cannons at the other guys castle.
  That would be awesome.
